A Visit to Venice

Johnny and I had the most wonderful wedding and honeymoon, and still have stars in our eyes from both. I did the majority of the wedding planning (with help from my mother, his mother and vendors, of course), while Johnny led planning our honeymoon. Which, by the way, if you plan to do more of an “adventure” honeymoon versus an all-inclusive beach setting (which also seems like a fabulous idea), I completely recommend letting your husband-to-be taking the reigns, maybe with some help from a travel agent.

Our Italian adventure started in Northern Italy, working our way through the country and ending at the Amalfi Coast. We began in Venice and the rest is for other posts, another day. View Post

Classic Calligraphy Wedding Invitations

Less than three weeks! It’s wedding season and mine is just around the corner, and I’m switching between excited, stressed and nervous, though mostly excited! One thing I’ve learned is that it’s easy to get carried away with this whole wedding planning ordeal, but it’s best to narrow down what’s most important to you, the bride (other than the obvious, like marrying the love of your life), and you and your groom, and then take it all in stride.

For me, the invitations were a big deal and I’m beyond thrilled with how they turned out, thanks to help from a few people, like Natalie Clarkson of Love Letters Calligraphy. View Post

Natura Bissé High Density Lift | Clé de Peau Mask
Moroccan Oil | Kérastase Masque Nutri-Thermique | Clarisonic Mia 2

Next month is a big month with a few big occasions, namely my 30th birthday and wedding, and these events will get a girl thinking about her hair and skin in a way she may not have focused on these things before! Admittedly, as a blonde, hair care has always been a bit of an extra chore, but I go through phases where I pay more or less attention to it and after my engagement I realized I had started to neglect it more than I should have. New Loves in New Orleans

Happy Mardi Gras! It only seems appropriate that I choose Mardi Gras to share my most recent trip to New Orleans, even if it was a little more than a month ago now.

Most of my trips back to the Crescent City these days focus on weddings, and this trip was no different, for Lauren and Will’s nuptials. Dinner was covered with wedding activities each night, but we took the chance to try some newer places for brunch each day. View Post
