Gift Ideas for the Hostess with the Mostess

I’ve vowed (ha!) to not let my wedding planning spill over into every aspect of my life, Blank Canvas included, though I plan to share useful findings along the way that may be of help to the average party planner or in this case, gift giver.

This past Friday night Johnny and I were able to celebrate our engagement with a wonderful group of friends and family, hosted by several lovely couples. Wanting a hostess gift that was true to my personality, I landed on monogrammed linen cocktail napkins for each couple. First, I love anything monogrammed, and second, I’m a huge fan of the popular embroidered linens. I started my research and came across the cutest Etsy shop to purchase my gift.

Hempstead Thread (Update: The Etsy shop is no longer live, but the link has been corrected to her website!) features a variety of well priced, but high quality, monogrammed goods, ranging from the cocktail napkins I selected, to bags, bibs and linen guest towels. After selecting the napkins and placing my order, I promptly received an email from Caroline, the shop owner, for specific details and to let me know when I could expect a color proof. The entire process was a breeze and Caroline was extremely pleasant to work with!

She packaged the napkins in a large clear bag tied with curling ribbon, which sparked my plan for packaging them to give to my party hosts. I packed each set in a treat bag from the craft store and tied them with coordinating ribbon. The hosts all seemed to love them just as much as I do!

Whether you are in need of a hostess gift, baby item or holiday item, definitely check out Hempstead Thread! The personal touch and wonderful customer service matches perfectly to the quality of the items in her shop!
